The World Tag Team Championship was a tag team championship title defended in the WWE. The championship was first won by Luke Graham & Tarzan Tyler when they defeated Dick the Bruiser & The Sheik on June 3, 1971.
The WWE Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship were unified at Wrestlemania 25 when The Colóns (Primo and Carlito) defeated John Morrison and The Miz. The World Tag Team Championship merged with the WWE Tag Team Championship on August 16, 2010. That is when the lineage for the World Tag Team Championship stopped. The last champions were David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd.
